Our story
Sometimes the body carries what words cannot express. Jaz recognises that physical and emotional wellbeing are closely connected, and that each person brings their own experiences and story to treatment.
Her approach is grounded in Traditional Chinese Medicine and shaped by ongoing training in Dr Tan's Balance Method and Neoclassical Acupuncture. Drawing from different acupuncture systems helps her adapt treatment to each person's presentation and goals.
At Ānshén, care starts with listening to the whole story, not just the symptom. Each appointment is a chance to discuss what matters to you and consider the broader picture together:
A space to feel heard, understood and more at home in your body.

Ānshén draws its name from Chinese medicine, where the characters translate as "calm the spirit." This reflects an approach that considers emotional wellbeing, sleep and stress alongside physical health.
Ān (安) translates as peace or safety, the first character in the practice's name.
Shén (神) translates as spirit or mind. In Chinese medicine theory, mental and physical health are assessed together rather than as separate systems.
Traditional Chinese medicine guided by the understanding that physical, emotional and mental wellbeing are deeply interconnected.
Every person's health experience is unique. Care begins with listening to yours.
We'd be glad to hear what's brought you here, and to talk through whether we can help.
